SoX Extension
SoX is a cross-platform (Windows, Linux, MacOS X, etc.) command line utility that can convert various formats of computer audio files in to other formats. It can also apply various effects to these sound files, and, as an added bonus, SoX can play and record audio files on most platforms. For more information please check the SoX documentation.
The SoX Extension provides the following audio nodes for a Switchboard SDK audio graph:

| ChorusNode | Make a single instrument sound like many. |
| DelayNode | Delay one or more channels. |
| EchoNode | Add an echo. |
| FlangerNode | Stereo flanger. |
| OverdriveNode | Non-linear distortion. |
| PhaserNode | Phase shifter. |
| ReverbNode | Add reverberation. |
| TremoloNode | Sinusoidal volume modulation. |
